Max is a curious boy with messy black hair and freckles who enjoys exploring the meadow behind his house. On a sunny morning, he hears a giggle behind a bush and finds a small fluffy rabbit named Joke, whose fur changes colour depending on his moods and who loves telling jokes above all else. As Joke shares silly joke after silly joke, his fur shifts from purple to blue to green, and Max laughs until his sides ache. The two become fast friends, and Max sees the colour changes as a cheerful rainbow surprise rather than something strange.
The tale takes a turn when other rabbits hop by and call Joke weird, and Joke's ears flatten as his fur fades to grey. Written by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK, this gentle picture-book story follows Max as he stands up for his friend and invites the others to listen. Young readers can enjoy the jokes and find the tale on Onlinemasal Com.Tr, where it works well as a read-aloud about kindness, inclusion and the courage to be different.
