Miles enjoys drawing, and on a bright morning he sits at the kitchen table with his sketchbook, looking for a fresh subject. When his mother suggests an animal he has never seen, they come across the pangolin, a timid creature covered in layered brown and tan scales that resembles a walking pinecone. Miles is drawn to it at once and begins creating a comic about Pip, a brave pangolin wearing a small blue scarf.
Learning that pangolins are endangered because they are hunted for their scales stirs something in Miles, and he wants to help. With his friend Emma beside him, he works on the comic and shares it with his class and then the whole school, eventually reading it aloud at the local library despite his nerves. Written by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK, this gentle story about wildlife conservation and using one's talents for a good cause can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
