Sam lives in a small house by a winding river, and each morning he puts on his mustard-yellow rain boots and red hooded jacket to watch the water come to life. What he hopes to see most is a little otter with glossy dark-brown fur, a tan belly and twitching whiskers. From a flat rock, Sam quietly fills his sketchbook with drawings of the otter swimming, fishing and sliding down the muddy bank, and he starts to notice what the animal needs to stay well.
When a plastic bag drifts near the otter's favourite sliding spot, the otter sneezes and swims off. Sam visits the library to learn more about otters and about how litter affects wildlife, then turns his sketches into a bright blue riverside display of clear facts. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale can be read on Masal İzle and follows a boy whose careful observation grows into something shared with his neighbours.
