Ben loves the wetland near his home and visits it every morning in his yellow rain boots and frog-print T-shirt, carrying a satchel and notebook. At the pond's edge he sits quietly, drawing a little frog with bright-green skin, golden eyes and a pale yellow belly, and writing simple notes about what it does. His best friend Maya, in purple boots and denim overalls, often joins him to hunt for tadpoles.
One morning the pond has changed: plastic bags float like jellyfish, cans and wrappers sit in the mud, and the little frog looks sad on a rock. Ben runs home to his mother, who listens and suggests they help. Together they plan, call neighbors and gather helpers with gloves, rakes and big bags. This tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL shows how a community can care for a habitat, and it can be read on Masal İzle.
