Eight-year-old Leo spends a sunny Saturday at an animal sanctuary with his mother, where he meets Clover, a young grey-brown donkey with long floppy ears and a red halter. With guidance from Maya, a sanctuary worker, Leo learns to brush Clover's soft coat, offer him fresh hay, and keep his water bucket full. After that first visit, Leo returns after school to talk with Clover about his day and comes to understand that a donkey needs company and kindness, not only food and water.

When Maya notices Clover seems bored, Leo uses his imagination to plan a treasure hunt of hidden carrot pieces and apple slices, build a puzzle feeder from a safe plastic container, and hang a sturdy rope with a soft toy for Clover to nuzzle. Each game shows him how clever and curious donkeys can be. This gentle story by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL follows a kind boy growing into a responsible caregiver, and it can be read on Masal İzle.
