Miles is a curious boy who always carries a magnifying glass on a string around his neck. One sunny morning, he spots a pale grey-green gecko with big amber eyes climbing straight up a smooth, shiny garden wall. With no holes or bumps to hold on to, Miles wonders how the little creature sticks. Determined to find out, he fetches his best friend Nia, who brings her notebook and her own questions, and together they set out to solve the mystery.

Their search leads them to the library, where a book explains that geckos have millions of tiny hairs on their toe pads that let them cling through a special force. But Miles wants to do more than just know the answer—he wants to show others. With Nia's help, he builds a model of a gecko's foot from cardboard, tape, string, and tiny sponge pieces, then tests it on wood, glass, and metal. When their younger friend Teo arrives, shy and full of doubt, the model gives him a chance to try the experiment himself. This tale by Çınar BİBER, which can be read on Masalcı Baba, follows the model to show-and-tell and back to the garden wall, showing how observation can grow into a real investigation.
