Miles spends every morning at the wetland near his home, sketching the dragonflies that dance above the water. With his sketchbook and pencils, and often with his grandmother, Grandma Ruth, beside him, he learns about the lives of these insects. One day a bright blue dragonfly with a tiny red dot on its tail lands on his sketchbook, and Miles names it Pip. From then on, Pip becomes his guide to the hidden world of the wetland.
Pip leads Miles to dragonfly eggs among the reeds, to nymphs growing underwater, and to the moment when a nymph climbs out of the water and changes into a shimmering adult. With Grandma Ruth's knowledge and Pip's lead, Miles fills his pages with drawings and notes about each stage. He then makes a picture guide to the wetland and its dragonflies, which draws the attention of the Wetland Warden. Written by Çınar BİBER, this tale can be read on Masalcı Baba.
