Barnaby the badger enjoys nothing more than reading on his mossy doorstep in the afternoon light, his small round glasses resting on his black nose. One bright morning the little table beside his chair stands empty, and without his glasses the green forest around him turns soft and blurry. He soon realises that finding them is not something he can do alone.
His worry draws two friends: Millie, a tiny field mouse with a red neckerchief and an acorn-cap satchel, and Olive, a calm and wise owl in a deep blue shawl. Olive suggests retracing yesterday's steps, and together the three follow the winding woodland path back through berry bushes, over an old oak log, past a gurgling stream and into a quiet ferny hollow, checking every leaf, crack and stone. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER shows young readers that asking for help is sensible and that patience and careful thinking matter. It can be read on Masalcı Baba.
